I saw this in a LJ board which I am in and had to share. It is an article about a portrait series done of those who are and have faced their own mortality. The gallery of images is linked to this page but will not open automatically. If you are interested, you might be surprised/relieved/terrified/consoled by the images.

Life is not perfect. But it is better now then it has ever been. And I am happy for it.
I love it when fun is learning and learning is fun. This game is simple, not overly brainy, and instructive. Give it a whirl... you might just have fun and learn something. http://nobelprize.org/educational_g ames/medicine/landsteiner/
The website has several other games and topics to use. If this is your thing then enjoy.

Hey all you life saving fiends! Check out this CNN article about Hands-only CPR. http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/03/31/ha nds.only.cpr.ap/index.html
Turns out that the American Heart Association is now encouraging this technique. If person is an adult, has "unexpectedly collapsed, stop breathing and are unresponsive" the AHA is asking that people do only two things... call 911 and start doing chest compression at the rate of approximately 100 per min. I would encourage everyone who has two hands and arms to take the basic CPR class from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. Many times lives can be saved and lived well and without major if any side effects by simply taking some quick actions. With these new recommendation you do not need to worry about mouth to mouth or even really keeping count. Just call 911 and then compress till help arrives.

I was wondering in both a human and professional stand point....
To you, what is the most terrifying thing about dying?
